Forceps type microwave surgical device with tissue coagulation detection mechanism

Abstract

In recent years, various types of medical applications of microwave have widely been investigated and reported. In this study, the authors apply thermal effect of the microwave for development of the surgical devices. In this study, a forceps type microwave surgical device is developed. Moreover, the device is equipped a tissue coagulation detection mechanism by employing the impedance change of tissue coagulation.
