Potensi pariwisata dan penanggulangan marine debris di kawasan pesisir Kabupaten Pangandaran

Abstract

Pangandaran Regency is a potential area to become a global tourism area. However, to achieve this besides maximizing potential, it is necessary to pay attention to the impact of tourism activities in coastal areas, one of which is the problem of marine debris. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method of secondary data processing. This study aims to identify the potential and recommendations from several kinds of literature that are relevant to the tourism area preservation program. This study concludes that Pangandaran Regency has natural resource potential with the existence of geodiversity, biodiversity, and coastal characteristics. Limited access, lack of promotion, low budget, and low quality of service are some of the weaknesses that hinder tourism development. With DPSIR modeling, this study reviews several responses to the waste problem by providing several alternative points for handling marine debris as technology implementation, utilization of marine debris, and overall collaboration between the government and the community.
