Abstract

Research works are initiated worldwide towards the development of Software defined radar (SDR) system operating jointly to change radar modes from Inverse synthetic aperture RADAR (ISAR) imaging to moving target indication (MTI), or adapt its waveform based on environmental conditions and/or information derived from previous RADAR interrogations. These adaptations can be performed manually or they may be automated through software. In the later case the system becomes cognitive RADAR.
