Abstract
: The Pile Integrity Test (PIT) is a non-destructive test that presents as an effective and low cost method to investigate pile integrity. To do the experiment, the pile is impacted by a hammer, siring a stress wave that propagates along its length, thus is possible to estimate the depth of the pile through the return time of the reflection stress wave in the accelerometer. However, the reflection signal undergoes changes in locations with impedance variation, that means, it is possible to show alternative changes in the pile density, wave speed or cross-sectional area. Thus, it is important to know how concrete resources without a curing interval that influence the integrity test. Therefore, the present study aims to analyze the changes caused by the compression waves, collected in the PIT test, which are caused by the curing of the concrete.
