Abstract

. The author of the article analyzes the images of the theogonic mythology of the Turkic-Mongol peoples based on the texts of Tuvan and Buryat folklore. The study of these images is of particular relevance at the present time, in connection with the growing interest of modern society to the ancient origins of the traditional culture of nomadic peoples, which provides a solid basis for strengthening their spiritual shrines. The novelty of this work lies in the fact that the author, using comparative-historical and hermeneutic research methods, for the first time attempts to identify some Tuvan-Buryat parallels in the system of images of theogonic mythology: Kogeldey-Mergen — Khuheday Mergen; daday — Tatay; Hamnaarak — Bulzhamuur. As a result of the analysis, she comes to the conclusion that these images go back to a common mythological source in the sacred tradition of the Turkic-Mongol peoples, which is based on the Tengrian idea — the idea of Heaven as the supreme sacred principle.
