After comparison between management of technology in industry and scientific research (SR) in university, we get a conclusion that the purpose, the object, the result are different between management of technology in industry and scientific research in university, but the process is very similar. In this research, we used a process method of MOT called roadmapping to build a roadmapping system as a decision making process for supporting scientific research in a university setting. Abstract

With the development of Internet, researchers can easily obtain a great quantity of data and information, but sorting through that data and information to find new research topics, to support knowledge management and knowledge creation, is not a trivial problem. So, how researchers can utilize the vast amount of available data and information to make decisions regarding their future research is an extremely important research field.
