Evaluation of digital energy meter error by Monte Carlo method

Abstract

In order to precisely evaluate the measurement errors of a digital energy meter, the influence of factors such as ADC and communication protocol were analyzed in this paper. A Monte Carlo method was used due to the complexity of the influences model. The error contribution of each factor and their combined error have been obtained by the Monte Carlo calculation.
