Abstract
Previously, various type of codes has been proposed for the Spectral Amplitude Coding (SAC) - Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) with variable weights smaller than two which referring to Dynamic Cyclic, Random Diagonal, and Modified Quadratic Convergence codes. A minimum cross correlation of one can only be achieved by the best cross correlation property of the codes. In this research, Zero Cross Correlation (ZCC) code has been evaluated and compared with other codes in performing the result of effective power required. The OCDMA system using ZCC was constructed by using OptiSystem. The parameters are closely set to the theoretical parameters and 5 numbers of users are included in block diagram designation. Photodetector required low power efficient by using ZCC code. There is only small difference between the simulation estimations and theoretical result of ZCC with various effective powers. Multiple Access Interference effect can be minimized by developing new SAC-OCDMA code with ZCC property.
