Abstract

In theoretical studies of coding, transmission and decoding of digital information, the concept of a discrete communication channel is often used. In this case, to reflect the influence of the channel on the transmission path, it is sufficient to simulate the sequence of errors. To simulate the sequence of errors, a mathematical model was proposed, which is based on the representation of the envelope of a fading signal in the form of a probabilistic discrete automaton, for which a simple Markov chain is used. The parameters of the model are determined, taking into account the characteristics of the radio path.
