Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of the consumption of electrical power in the university Campus Microgrid throughout one year. This research is conducted to fully understand our data and interpret the daily consumption of energy and its fluctuations for the different profiles. In our study, we analyze power consumption of five different buildings within the university campus: Teacher’s office and labs, Classrooms, Restaurant, Exterior Lighting and, Student Room (Girls-ground floor). Each type of energy consumption is described by observations, graphs, plots and conclusions that properly highlight the most efficient characteristics. The paper begins with a description of the smart meters helping us record consumption history that constitutes our data. Data cleaning is one of the important steps before using the data. In this study, we begin with a general description of the aspects of consumption, using graphs in this way to clearly show the different changes. We then present our own interpretations of these changes in order to provide a general understanding of the energy load consumption.
