Abstract

Recording of The Waiting Room, a coproduction between Melbourne Workers Theatre and PlatForM 27. Explores the personal side of “waiting” in a detention centre. Sparked by ongoing controversy surrounding Australia’s refugee policies. Group-devised piece directed by Richard Lagarto. Opening credits over soundscape at beginning of show. Audience shown filing in, some audience interaction at beginning of performance – audience assessed and classified into groups. 01:37:12 special thanks surtitles, and closing credits.
