Furthermore it becomes one of the most important FACTS controller and new, which adds the GUPFC into the category of the unified model with the same methods. Abstract

This paper presents the establishment of a linearised Pillips-Heffron model of a power system installed with a generalized unified power flow controller (GUPFC) for a specific case in the single machine infinite bus (SMIB) system where the lines have no equal reactance. On the basis of the linearised, the damping function of the GUPFC is investigated.
