It is one of the main thorny<br />sources of social conflicts in almost every village. There have<br />been a hot-witch hunts at many regions of the islands. Numerous<br />witches or sorcerers caught red-handed practicing it were tried<br />according customary laws of the villagers and then killed publicly.<br />This article also presents that a number of paranormals can prove<br />the existence of the sorcery practices. The mediums used by the<br />perpetrators can be detected. These mediums were claimed to<br />emit a kind of toxic gas which is thought to cause the victim to<br />get sick and die. Abstract
Abstract: This article aims to present that sorcery and witchcraft is still widely practiced in Flores. It is one of the main thorny sources of social conflicts in almost every village.
