Abstract

The work introduces the notion of a sine of the angle between two finite signals. This enables use of nonharmonic signals of finite duration for estimation of the dielectric loss angle tangent in reactive two-terminal devices. Block diagrams of small loss measurement devices are analyzed. Results of mathematical modelling are presented for a two-terminal device. The device is modelling a piezoceramic resonator.
