Abstract

Light Emitting Diode (LED) showcases a better performance than conventional lighting methods. The LED load's circuit, also known as an LED driver, can be categorized into a single-stage, multi-stage, or integrated stage topology. This paper puts a thin line description on the history and development of LED, its characteristics and different packings, OLED modeling and electrical characteristics of LED. It also showcases different standards and regulations for LEDs and testing methods for LEDs. This work, in general is expected to be utilized by a researcher and engineers to make an appropriate choice while selecting a circuit for LED.
