Abstract
In this paper the elaborated structures of the main circuit and control system of a power electronics modified rectifier with current modulation are presented. The input power circuit is based on two classical diode rectifiers. In aim to obtain quasi-sinusoidal input current, the current modulator connected to the DC circuit was implemented. Due to the required minimum fluctuations of resultant output current of the rectifier the DC/DC converter based on BOOST structure is placed. The fulfillment of this condition is necessary in order to increase the efficiency of the presented solution. The described rectifier is dedicated mainly for high power systems. Additionally in aim of increasing the quality of grid current and reducing power losses interleaved converters were proposed. The chosen simulation and experimental results of the research was analysed.
