Selected Aspects of the Optimization the Structure of Logistic System

Abstract

This paper is a result of research work carried out under the project for development of model of logistic system of Poland in aspect transport co-modality. Article presents a general approach to optimizing structure of logistics network. The problem is to determine optimal number of logistics facilities and assigning clients to them. It must be done in a way ensuring that cost of servicing area is minimal, meeting customer requirements within technical and economic potential of logistics services providers.
