Abstract
The aim of the paper is to present an approach to acquiring managerial knowledge using data mining of eye tracking recording. In the first part, the authors describe a prototype of a decision support system based on the domain ontology, and methods of discovering sequential patterns of manager perception using eye tracking data. They point out the problems of SMEs management, particularly with regard to obtaining the correct and useful financial information essential to support managerial decisions. The main part of the paper illustrates how a manager analyses financial reports and how to mine this data to discover the level of his or her knowledge. The research was conducted on real financial data, using the Bilander's BINOCLE and eye tracking software Tobii StudioTM by Tobii.
