Pengaruh Edukasi Suportif Terstruktur Terhadap Pelaksanaan Latihan ROM (Range Of Motion) Pada Keluarga Pasien Dengan Stroke

Abstract

Stroke is a clinical syndrome that impacts brain function loss caused by a stop of blood supply carrying oxygen. The appropriate treatment during the rehabilitation period is by providing Range of Motion (ROM ) exercise to the stroke patient's family using education. This research aims to identify the influence of structured, supportive education toward implementing ROM exercise on the family of stroke patients. This research uses a quasi-experiment pre and post-test design. The number of samples used is 36 respondents using consecutive sampling. The research result shows an upgrade of knowledge, attitude, and skill in respondents before and after given either standard or structured education. Moreover, the research shows the advancement of knowledge, attitude, and skill in respondents after given standard and structured education. This research recommends that the giving of education is required in nursing service.
