Abstract

The Internet is a communication network that uses Internet Protocol (IP) to distribute much application over the backbone WAN networks. Routing protocol and algorithm are determining of selecting a path for traffic in networks. However, we define the problem of transmission delay for unicast and multicast traffic with designing algorithms. To realize such design, especially for backbone IP networks that can be represented by M/M/1 queue model.
