Abstract

study analyzed both incidence and mortality figures of pancreatic cancer for 185 WHO member states for 2020. Also, our study analyzed international patterns in trends of incidence and mortality of pancreatic cancer in the last three decades by sex and by age groups. One of the major strengths of our study is the use of the GLOBOCAN database, the large population-based datasets, whereby the trends analysis was conducted only for countries with quality of data that was classified as high or medium quality level. Finally, the described international patterns and trends in pancreatic cancer incidence and mortality over time may be useful in generating hypotheses about risk factors for pancreatic cancer.“.
