Abstract
We propose an MPIxOpenMP parallelization scheme based on the hierarchical partitioning strategy for the multilevel fast multipole algorithm. The parallelization scheme reduces data duplications via sharing data structures among processing cores. Therefore, this scheme can employ hundreds of cores efficiently without requiring extra memory.
