Abstract
The task performance in teleoperation tasks have become a major concern with the widespread use of the teleoperation system in the industry. As the technologies increase, the performance will be affected more by the cognition or emotion state of the operators. The study was to investigate the relationship between the performance and emotion of the operators using electroencephalogram signals. The results revealed that the comprehensive objective performance were worse when operators were at higher arousal levels, which suggested that the emotion state might be an effective indictor to evaluate and predict the operator’s performance during the task.
