I also thank my students who voluntarily participated in this study to share their transformative journey. Footnote: I take hands-on artmaking to refer to direct contact with the materials as well as neurological components in the studio (e.g., touching materials, bending wire, stretching rubber, putting your hands into the mold), which is different from the hands-on-ness that it’s implied in the artmaking in general.
