Abstract

In this paper the prototyping of a low power optical antenna is presented. This antenna is designed so that several communication protocols can be implemented and tested. A transceiver is designed and constructed using discrete commercial off-the-shelf electronic devices. Some theoretical background, simulations and practical tests are proposed and the results are finally summarized.
