Abstract
This paper describes, a wide-range low voltage Wilson Current Mirror based reflected-output Level-Shifter for swift and cost-effective voltage translation from sub-threshold level to input-output supply voltage. The level-shifter that can translate sub-threshold voltage to level of supply voltage is modeled to reduce circuit delay as well as power leakage with optimal transistors count in the designed circuit. Wilson current mirror level-shifter is designed in 0.18µm CMOS technology and is implemented using simulator such as Cadence Virtuoso & LTspice. The simulation results show that designed model can effectively translates the input low voltage levels (as minimum as 50 mV) to around 1.8 V at output levels without utilizing some multi-threshold models. The total power utilization and delay of the designed Level-Shifter of a 0.3 V / 1 MHz input level and response level (1.8 V) are 80.23 nW and 6.9 ns respectively. Also, comparative study is performed with the other designed level shifters which shows the cost-effectiveness of the designed model.
