Abstract
This paper describes simultaneous multiprobe measurement technique for performance analysis of a mode-stirring classical reverberation chamber with three different shapes of the stirrer, which are irregular Z-folded, a single-plate stirrer and an asymmetrical irregular folded. Measurements were carried out by using very fast and accurate 9 3D electric field probes, energized via a laser and readout via an optical link, thus not disturbing the electromagnetic field. Two important parameters were analysed: field uniformity and the number of independent samples using the ‘standard method’ and the ‘general method’. The fast multi-probe system allows very fast evaluation of the reverberation chamber, the effectiveness of stirrers and assessment of the spatial field uniformity.
