A 15-item structured questionnaire was used for data collection. The instrument was subjected to validity and reliability tests and found feasible for the study. Data collected were analyzed using Mean, Standard Deviation, and Simple Linear Regression respectively. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that, positive socio- cultural values and parental attitude should be developed towards the education of boys and girls in Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole.
