Abstract
The article analyzes existing methods for calculating no-load losses of a transformer. The disadvantages of approaches used today are noted and a method is given for calculating losses based on the geometry of transformer, as well as the type of steel used. Particular attention is paid to the issue of no-load current active component asymmetry of three-phase transformer.
