Abstract
The current situation with the glass waste recycling in Russia was considered. Advantages and disadvantages of glass were described. The technology of glass waste recycling into a durable heat-insulating material (foam glass) was proposed. Compositions of foam glass with the use of various types of glass cullet were developed. Their properties and internal structure were studied. A conclusion about the applicability of glass waste in foam glass technology was made.
