Abstract

The combination of digital predistortion (DPD) techniques and crest factor reduction (CFR) techniques can simultaneously meet the linearity and efficiency requirements for power amplifiers (PA) in future high-speed wireless communication systems, and therefore has received wide attention. This paper propose a novel in-band and out-band combination (IOC) technology that process the in-band and out-band parts of the predistorted signal separately to reduce the impact of CFR on DPD. The simulation results show that the IOC technology can reduce unnecessary peak clipping and greatly improve the linearization performance.
