Abstract

With the development of bariatric surgery in Ukraine, the number of operated patients is increasing. The causes of decompensation of a patient’s condition during a remote postoperative period are, among others, a systematic violation of the diet and recommendations for the administration of drugs to maintain vitamin, micro and macroelements status, the absence of prolonged multidisciplinary monitoring of the patient’s condition The article deals with the clinical case of treatment of malnutrition syndrome in a patient after biliopancreatic diversion, demonstrates the strategy of patient management aimed at compensation of condition, preparation for reconstructive surgery and postoperative rehabilitation.
