A new membership function and fuzzy-enhancement operator is reconstructed in the improved algorithm based on the analysis and research on Pal-King fuzzy-enhancement algorithm. At the same time simulation experiments are carried out. The results show that the improved algorithm effectively overcomes the shortcomings of the Pal-King fuzzy-enhancement algorithm, and guaranties the overall effect of image enhancement, and retains the edge information of the low gray value in the image and improves the efficiency of the algorithm at the same time. Abstract
An improved algorithm is brought out in this paper in order to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional Pal-King image enhancement algorithm based on fuzzy sets.
