First, the subgraph centrality that is a generalization of degree centrality is described. Then, many matrix functions are used to define subgraph centrality including matrix exponential, matrix logarithm and matrix hyperbolic cosine. Next, to simplify the computation of matrix function, the power series truncation method is employed to get an approximation of matrix function such that it can be calculated by the matrix polynomial method. Abstract
In this paper, the identification of station importance of Taipei metro network using subgraph centrality is presented.
