For the study a total sample of 400 individual subjects divided into two divisions of 200 arts and 200 science subjects. The tool used for data collection was Emotional Intelligence Scale (EIS) constructed and standardized by Anukool Hyde, SanjyotPethe and Upinder Dhar (2002). For this study the statistical tools used to be Mean, Standard Deviation and t-test. Emotional intelligence promotes selfawareness, self-regulation, selfmotivation, empathy and social skills.
