Abstract

The paper presents the results of the development and validation of a technique for the modeling of axial pumps flow in an open CFD package OpenFOAM. A previously designed and tested axial pump was used to verify the calculation method. As a result of the calculation, the energy characteristics of the pump in OpenFOAM package were obtained, a comparison with experimental data and with the commercial CFD package ANSYS CFX was performed. The possibilities of cluster parallelization of the computational problem are analyzed.
