Abstract
A small MIMO circularly polarized antenna with a 56 x 60 x 1.5748 mm3 is designed for UHF RFID, PCS and 5G applications. The C and E-shaped slots are created along with the meander line at both the sides of the antenna to bring resonance for frequency bands from 0.7–1GHz, 1.6–2.48 GHz and 3.5–4.2 GHz. DGS technique is also used to enhance the performance and lowers the mutual coupling between the radiating elements. A ‘T’ shape stub is placed above the antenna for better impedance matching. The antenna offers good isolation of 15 dB, 20 dB and 29 dB for the respective bands. The diversity parameters like ECC, DG, TARC, MEG and radiation pattern are simulated using Ansys HFSS software. The axial ratio is less than 3 dB for UHF RFID and 5G bands. This proposed antenna assures good MIMO antenna results for wireless applications.
