Abstract

A new modification of particle swarm optimization (PSO) was developed in the work. It involves changing the cognitive term of a particle movement. The frequency of such changing through iterations execution is considered as an additional parameter to tune. A reasonable range of the parameter was stated in the work. A comparative study supported the superiority of the developed PSO modification. In addition, its mature performance showed the efficiency of the algorithm iterations number increasing.
