Abstract

Calibration period is a major concern of metrology and the basis for the actual operation of operators. This paper introduces adjustment methods and the judging principles of measuring equipment calibration period, then further research on the calibration period adjustment based on reaction method is carried out, and two extreme cases may emerge in the engineering application of calibration period adjustment method is deducted, trend analysis is given, the results show that in the extreme cases, adjusted calibration period of measuring equipment shows a rule of exponential curve, combined with the reliability index, finally considering economic and scientific factors, adjusted period range is suggested between 0.5 to 2 times of the initial calibration period, which could effectively guide the measuring equipment calibration period adjustment.
