Smart home algorithms to control and reduce electricity bill at residential buildings

Abstract

This paper presents the work to build a software system that could be used to monitor and control home appliances. The main objective of the system is to reduce the electricity bill of residential buildings while preserving user's comfort. In addition to describing the system design authors present developed smart home algorithms as main contribution in this paper.
