Abstract

In this paper, the design and simulation of a novel ultra-thin low-frequency wideband 2-layer microwave absorber is presented. The study is extended to the analysis of conformal shape of the absorber. The 90% absorption (A) bandwidth of the structure is about 66% in the frequency range of 1.7–3.4 GHz and thus, it may find applications in the wireless communication devices in bands like Wi-Fi, WiMAX, wireless repeater system and multiple-input-multiple-output technology (MIMO), where the isolation and absorption of the electromagnetic wave is required.
