Abstract
The objective is to design a algorithm to generate key depended Substitution Boxes for Symmetric Encryption. This paper describes an effective and innovative way of generating substitution boxes which are key dependent. The proposed algorithm uses Elliptic Curve Cryptography to generate dynamic S-Boxes. The S-Boxes generated are tested against the four different criteria called Bijection, Strict Avalanche Effect (SAE), Non-linearity and Bit-Independence. It is implemented in $\text{C}++$textbf using Multi-precision Integer and Rational Arithmetic Cryptographic Library (MIRACL) and the experimental results shows that it takes very less computation time. The proposed algorithm can be used in PRESENT cipher to generate dynamic key depended S-Boxes. And this scheme is quite efficient for resource constrained devices of Internet of Things
