Abstract
Mixing with Hg1-xCdxTe at submillimeter wavelengths is reported. It is shown that optimum performance depends critically on the x value chosen and the operating temperature. Bandwidths of more than 50 MHz have been obtained with x = 0.44 and temperature 3.2K.
