Abstract

Renewable energy is expected to play an increasingly prominent role in Indian power sector in the coming decades giving its various benefits. This source of energy is viewed as strategic resource which will in the long run form the cornerstone of our energy security. These sources are clean and non-polluting. Solar energy is one among the sources which is sustainable and totally inexhaustible. Solar photovoltaic is considered to be the best means of tapping solar energy.
