It is inferred that the proposed mode selection scheme before data transfer can improve the system performance. Abstract

Machine-to-machine (M2M) communication is viewed as a promising technology for reducing traffic burden on the cellular base stations (BSs), enhancing the spectrum utilization and improving energy efficiency.
