Real-time simulation of electromagnetic transients for interactive testing of power system relays and control systems: general trend at EDF

Abstract

Tliis paper gives an overview 01 the existing facililies, and presents the general outline of a new prograrn in development: llie Digital Transient Network Analyser. Tliis simulator should fullil EDF's needs of tlie fuluie, inlieiiting the main qualities of the two previous ones, i.e. flexibility atid accuracy due to broad frequency range modelling of the digital model, and real-time interactivity of the hybrid niode.
