Abstract

Broadband networks are fast becoming integrated into the information infrastructure. The need to transport multimedia calls requiring not only high bandwidth but also minimal loss and delay is rapidly increasing. The increased ratio of propagation delay to bit duration creates new problems in dynamic control.
