Abstract

As systems become increasingly complex and the time to market decreases, systems engineers have to develop novel solutions to testing. The scenario is particularly acute when dealing within the safety critical domain. This paper will seek to highlight how UML and in particular, improvements introduced by SysML can aid the testing process in terms of verification, validation and simulation of software, firmware and mechanical systems.
