Abstract

A highly miniaturized microstrip patch antenna is presented in this paper. The antenna is miniaturized using defected ground structure and shorting pin techniques. The defected ground structure is formed by making a U slot on the ground plane. The substrate taken is Rogers and the feed technique used will be coaxial. The antenna has dual band operation also.
