Abstract

The system waits for the returning echoes to determine the shape of the objects in front of it and where they are. It can detect shapes one metre long with a width spanned by 2 degrees , up to a distance of 200 metres. This is done by using a FFT beam-forming technique and a highly specialized array.<>
